I remember as a child, in Australia, my mother first introduced me to stories of a far-away land, with amazing buildings, called Pyramids. Of course, these were at Giza, in Egypt, but this was just the beginning of my journey …

I’ve always been interested in education, working with young people and for the bulk of my career teaching theatre and acting skills. I have been fortunate to travel the world with my family and set up home in three continents. We started in Australia, then Tanzania, back to Australia and finally the United Kingdom. 

Moving to the London in 2014, my passions for education and the ancient past finally came together as I commenced studying archaeology at the Institute of Archaeology, University College London. I also work with members of the public at the Petrie Museum at UCL, with children and teenagers, using object based learning to explore the stories of ancient artefacts and their modern replications.

My current research has a focus on Archaeology Education of ancient Egypt and Sudan. So it seems, the journey continues ...
